Automated Recalibration using Coded LED Markers
Accurate projection mapping requires calculation of the projection geometry and measurement of the projection area. For these photogrammetrical measurements we use different kinds of active or passive markers. Often we use active LED or laser markers to calculate the projection geometry. With our new active coded LED markers a projection setup can be matched easily and more reliably. Especially for an automated recalibration with our ProjectionTools AutoAlignment system, a reliable and fast recognition of each marker is essential. During the AutoAlignment process the markers are automatically detected using their unique identifiers, thus further reducing the probability of failure.

We use active LED or laser markers to automatically detect the position of cameras for an AutoAlignment. Previously they were controlled via commercially available switchable sockets. Our new active coded LED markers can be connected directly via Ethernet. The interface is integrated into our ProjectionTools. For up to 20 markers power can be supplied via PoE or a separate power supply. If more than 20 markers are required an extra power supply is necessary.
During the AutoAlignment process the markers are detected automatically using their unique identifiers, thus further reducing the probability of failure.
Coded markers are supplied as a complete module with cabling and a controller. The controller facilitates the assignment and management of the markers’ identifiers.
